Checking whether I should still be holding something meant leaving my brokerage app, looking the ticker up somewhere else, and reading whatever that one site said. Repeat per holding. Do it often enough and you notice the sites disagree with each other, so a single opinion is not worth much.

The friction was the sort order. A brokerage app ranks your holdings by price movement, which tells you what happened, not what to do. I wanted the opposite sort: everything I own, ranked by what the analysts covering it currently say.

A native SwiftUI iOS app built around one screen I called the verdict ladder. Holdings are grouped by rating band, not by asset type or size, so Strong Buy sits at the top and the sell shelf sits at the bottom. When that shelf is empty it says "Nothing here. That's the goal." One glance answers the only question I actually had.

Three rating sources feed it, and when they disagree the app says so instead of averaging the disagreement away. Holdings import by photographing the brokerage screen: on-device OCR pulls out the tickers and share counts, and the image never leaves the phone. A morning notification at 8am is the whole ritual.

A friend runs the beta, and his texted complaints became the roadmap: portfolio progress over time, multiple portfolios, and a crypto tab all shipped because he asked.
